Busy.

Just a small update on all the things I've been doing....

1.  I've kept this pretty private, but now it's official, so I thought I'd share.  I'm now working with Davy Knapp [www.davyknapp.com], a local photographer who is amazing.  I shot his own wedding a couple of weeks ago, and now he has a copy of my shots.  When a couple comes in needing a date he already has booked, he has portfolios for me and another guy for them to look at. They can choose to book one of us instead.  It's a great opportunity and a HUGE blessing. I've already learned a ton, and I look forward to building my portfolio further and meeting all the fun couples that have booked me!

2.  Right now, I'm working on two separate album art projects going on.  One is for Product [www.myspace.com/product1], a rap artist who is not only a really great guy, but really good at what he does.  Check him out, and look for his album coming out soon!  These are a few shots from a photo shoot I did for him last week.  These aren't the photos that are going to be used for the album, just extras.  I'm keeping those private, so you'll just have to see the artwork when it comes out.  All I have left to do is get the text copy.  Also, we've been working on concepts for the band DAYE, also a talented bunch of guys.  More on that later.

3.  Jayme and Daniel had their beautiful baby boy, Ryan.  Praise God for a peaceful birth and completely happy and healthy baby!

I hope everyone is doing really well so far this year!

new years resolutions in the typical fashion....

late.

i want to do a lot of things.  the first is actually getting my school stuff together and figuring out where I'm supposed to be.  In the mean time, I'm taking classes I actually want to take, like New Testament and Drawing II.  

I want to get my coffee Master.

I want to not get behind on laundry one single time this year.

I want to take my dog for a 30 minute walk every day.

I want to beat Rock Band on Expert ;)

I want to get a legit portfolio together.

I want to read my Bible more.

I want to prioritize working out on days when I usually feel I'm too busy.

I want to be a great wife.

I want to be on tour.

....so, that's it.  Not resolutions, because then I'll just feel guilty for breaking them.

Just, goals.

God-willing 2008 will be a healthy and GENUINELY happy year.

Lately my dreams have been a place of absolute terror and joy, at the very same time. How is it that I can be praising God for such a vision, yet at the same time silently begging them to go away. It's like being caught somewhere between perfect joy and mere pleasure. I got a fortune cookie yesterday. I broke the cookie and ate the whole thing before reading it [typical]. It said, "You will get what your heart desires."

NO! My heart is a place torn open and ripped apart, stolen and grasping for just one thing that is real. My heart doesn't know truth. My heart isn't right. If I get what my heart truly desires, I'll really only be a shell of what I was created to be.

I want Your Heart.
I want Your will.
I want You to be dictating every single movement of every single day.
I want You.


I'm terrified that I'll go and ruin everything.

My mind is a place that can never be navigated, or tamed. My doubtful nature makes it ironic that I married a "Thomas".
Can it really get any more real?
